The small packaging detail that says a lot: our Mineral Paper neck seal
Removing aluminium from packaging is a step many brands talk about, and we do too. But we realised there’s another part of the story that deserves attention: what replaces it, and how those choices perform in real life.
On our Helix bottles, the zebra neck seal (the “tirilla/precinto”) is made with Mineral Paper, a top-tier material for beverage packaging. We chose it for two reasons that matter to customers, even if they don’t always notice them immediately: consistency of quality and credible sustainability.
Quality comes first in the real world
Packaging goes through chilling, transport, humidity, and handling. Mineral Paper is durable and water-resistant, which helps the neck seal keep a consistent, premium look over time. It’s a small element, but it contributes to a bottle that arrives and presents itself the way it should.
Sustainability, backed by clear proof points
According to our supplier, Mineral Paper:
• Uses no cellulose or wood, so no trees are needed.
• Uses no water in production.
• Is manufactured without chlorine, acids, or strong bases, and without toxic gas emissions.
• Is composed of 80% calcium carbonate (limestone) and 20% non-toxic resins (HDPE).
• Is designed around a 4R approach: reduce, reuse, recycle (HDPE #2 stream), recover.
Great wine is the baseline.
What reinforces trust over time are the small decisions, applied consistently. This neck seal is one of those details, quiet, practical, and meaningful.
